Magnesium Guide
Magnesium citrate is identified as the preferred form for daily use. It works by drawing water into the bowel to support natural elimination. Use clean forms without unnecessary additives and avoid liquid versions. Starting doses are based on weight and may be divided throughout the day. Powder should be fully dissolved in water.
If there is no improvement after a few days, increase the dose slightly; if stool becomes too soft, reduce it. Magnesium oxide and hydroxide are not recommended for long-term use because they may reduce stomach acid and interfere with protein digestion.
