VAERS COVID Vaccine Anaphylaxis / Severe Allergic Reaction Reports

We break down allergic reactions at OpenVAERS in two ways because merely searching for Anaphylaxis in the symptom list does not give the full story of the extent of reactions reported to VAERS. Our Severe Allergic Reaction category is a search of the narrative and symptoms fields. In the narrative we search for “epipen”, “epinephrine”, “rash/hives”, “throat swelling” in addition to the diagnosis of Anaphylaxis in the symptoms field.
